TNM classification system

The TNM classification system is a way doctors describe the size and spread of cancer. "T" stands for the tumor's size and whether it has grown into nearby tissue. "N" indicates if the cancer has spread to nearby lymph nodes, which are part of the immune system. "M" shows if the cancer has spread to other parts of the body (metastasized). Together, these help determine the stage of cancer, guiding treatment decisions and prognosis. The system provides a standardized way for healthcare professionals to communicate and compare cancer cases effectively.
