TLE (Two-Line Element set)
A Two-Line Element set (TLE) is a standardized format that provides essential information about the orbit of a satellite. Composed of two lines of data, it includes details such as the satellite’s position, velocity, orbital shape, inclination, and other parameters. TLEs are used by ground stations and satellite tracking software to predict the satellite’s location in space at any given time. They are regularly updated to account for orbital changes caused by factors like atmospheric drag and gravity, enabling accurate tracking and collision avoidance for satellites and space debris.
