TLC (Total Lung Capacity)

Total Lung Capacity (TLC) is the maximum amount of air the lungs can hold when fully inhaled. It includes all the air in the lungs after taking the deepest breath possible, combining the air you normally breathe out (resting volume), the air you breathe in or out during normal breathing (tidal volume), and the additional air you can inhale or exhale with effort. TLC is important for assessing lung health, helping doctors understand how well your lungs are functioning and whether there's any restriction or excess air retention.
