TKO (Technical Knockout)
A Technical Knockout (TKO) occurs in boxing or mixed martial arts when the referee stops a fight because one fighter is unable to safely continue, even if they haven't been knocked out cold. This typically happens when a fighter takes too much damage, is unable to defend themselves effectively, or shows signs of significant injury or exhaustion. The referees' primary concern is fighter safety, so a TKO is called to prevent unnecessary harm once it’s clear a competitor can’t reasonably continue. It results in a win for the opponent without a formal knockout.
