titration curves

A titration curve is a graph that shows how the pH of a solution changes as a titrant (a solution of known concentration) is added to it. As you add the titrant, the pH gradually shifts, revealing the solution’s acid or base strengths. When the amount of titrant is just right—called the equivalence point—the pH changes rapidly. The curve helps visualize this process, highlighting key features like the starting pH, buffering zones, and the equivalence point, providing insight into the solution’s chemical properties.
