Titrant
A titrant is a carefully measured solution used in a laboratory process called titration to determine the concentration of an unknown substance in a sample. During titration, the titrant is gradually added to the sample until a specific reaction occurs, indicated by a color change or other signal. This allows scientists to calculate how much of the unknown substance was present based on the volume of titrant used. In essence, the titrant is the "standard" solution designed to react precisely with the substance being tested, enabling accurate analysis of its concentration.
