Title IV of the Civil Rights Act

Title IV of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 primarily addresses the desegregation of public schools. It prohibits public schools from discriminating against students based on race, color, or national origin, and encourages the integration of public educational institutions. The law also gives the federal government authority to intervene when states or school districts resist or delay desegregation efforts. Essentially, Title IV aims to promote equal access to education and eliminate racial segregation in public schools across the United States.
