Title IV-D Agency
Title IV-D Agency, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is responsible for administering child support enforcement programs. Its goal is to ensure non-custodial parents provide financial support for their children, helping custodial parents receive timely child support payments. The agency works with state and local agencies to locate absent parents, establish paternity, establish and enforce child support orders, and modify existing orders when needed. Ultimately, it aims to promote the well-being of children by making sure they receive the financial support they need from both parents.
