Title I and Title II of the ADA

Title I of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits discrimination against qualified individuals with disabilities in employment. It requires employers to provide reasonable accommodations to enable employees with disabilities to perform their job duties. Title II applies to state and local government programs and services, mandating they be accessible to individuals with disabilities. It ensures equal access to public services, transportation, and activities, and requires governments to make reasonable modifications to policies and practices to include everyone. Both titles aim to promote equal opportunities and eliminate barriers for people with disabilities.
