Tissue Culture Techniques

Tissue culture techniques involve growing plants or cells in a controlled, sterile environment using nutrient-rich media. This method allows scientists to propagate plants quickly, produce disease-free plants, or study specific cell behaviors. Small pieces of plant tissue, called explants, are placed on a special gel-like substance that provides essential nutrients and hormones. Under the right conditions, these explants develop roots and shoots, eventually growing into new, complete plants. Tissue culture is a precise and efficient way to reproduce plants, conserve rare species, or research cellular processes.
