Tirthankaras

Tirthankaras are revered spiritual teachers in Jainism, considered enlightened beings who have achieved perfect knowledge and liberation (moksha). They serve as guides, helping others attain spiritual freedom by demonstrating the path through their teachings, example, and code of conduct. There are 24 Tirthankaras in each cosmic cycle, with Lord Mahavira being the most recent. They emphasize non-violence, truth, and self-discipline, inspiring practitioners to follow a ethical and introspective lifestyle. Tirthankaras are not gods but revered for their spiritual achievements and role in shaping Jain philosophy and practice.
