Tirthankara Mahavira
Tirthankara Mahavira was a revered spiritual teacher and founder of Jainism, an ancient Indian religion emphasizing non-violence, truth, and self-control. Born around 599 BCE, he abandoned worldly life to seek spiritual liberation, practicing intense meditation and asceticism. After attaining enlightenment, Mahavira dedicated his life to guiding others on the path of righteousness and ethical living. His teachings promote compassion, non-violence (ahimsa), and respect for all life forms. Mahavira is considered the 24th and last Tirthankara (spiritual guide) in Jain tradition, shaping the religion’s principles and practices that continue to influence millions today.
