Time-to-event data

Time-to-event data tracks the duration until a specific event occurs, such as recovery, failure, or death. It’s used in fields like medicine and engineering to understand how long it takes for an event to happen and what influences that timing. For example, a study might measure how long patients stay symptom-free after treatment. This data helps researchers analyze patterns and make predictions about future outcomes, considering not just if the event happens, but when it occurs, often accounting for cases where the event hasn't happened yet by the study's end (censored data).
