Time Out

Time Out is a disciplined strategy used by parents and caregivers to help children learn appropriate behavior. When a child misbehaves, they are gently removed from the situation and asked to sit quietly in a designated area for a short, supervised period. This pause allows the child to calm down, reflect on their actions, and understand that certain behaviors are unacceptable. The goal is not punishment but teaching self-control and responsibility. After the time Out, caregivers typically discuss the behavior and encourage positive actions, helping children develop better decision-making skills.
