Time as a dimension

Time is often considered the fourth dimension, alongside the three spatial dimensions of length, width, and height. In simple terms, while we can move freely in space (forward, backward, left, right), time represents a progression from past to future. Events are ordered in time, allowing us to understand sequences and durations. Just as we use coordinates to locate a point in space, we need a time reference to understand when things happen. This concept is fundamental in physics, particularly in theories like relativity, which show how time and space are interconnected.
