Time and Eternity

Time is the ongoing sequence of events from past through present to future, measurable by clocks and calendars. It provides a framework for change and causality. Eternity, on the other hand, is the concept of an infinite, timeless existence—an existence beyond the limits of temporal measurement. While time is finite and directional, moving forward, eternity is considered timeless and unchanging. In philosophy and theology, eternity often describes a state beyond the physical universe, where everything exists simultaneously without past or future. Essentially, time pertains to our worldly experience, while eternity relates to infinite, unchanging existence beyond that experience.
