Tiltrotor

A tiltrotor is a type of aircraft that combines the vertical takeoff and landing capability of a helicopter with the speed and efficiency of a fixed-wing airplane. It has large rotors mounted on rotating nacelles at the ends of its wings, which can tilt forward for forward flight or remain upright for hovering. When vertical, the aircraft can lift off and land like a helicopter; when tilted forward, the rotors act as propellers, allowing it to fly quickly through the air. This design provides versatility for various missions, including transport, military operations, and emergency response.
