Johann Tserclaes, Count of Tilly, was a prominent 17th-century German military commander, known for leading Catholic forces during the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648). He was disciplined, strategic, and highly effective in battlefield tactics, often winning significant engagements for the Catholic side. Tilly played a key role in shaping the conflict, which was both religious and political, and his military actions impacted much of Central Europe.
