Tier 2 General visa

The Tier 2 General visa was a UK work visa allowing skilled workers from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and Switzerland to come to the UK for employment. It required an employer sponsorship and proof of a genuine job vacancy. The visa permitted work for up to five years and led to potential settlement. However, this category was replaced by the Skilled Worker visa in 2020, which has similar criteria but modernized the application process and requirements.
