Tibetan Canon

The Tibetan Canon is the sacred collection of Buddhist scriptures fundamental to Tibetan Buddhism, consisting of three main parts: the Kangyur (translated words of the Buddha), the Tengyur (commentaries by Indian and Tibetan scholars), and additional texts. It guides spiritual practice, ethical conduct, and philosophical understanding, and is preserved in Tibetan monasteries and libraries. The Canon reflects centuries of Buddhist tradition, serving as a comprehensive spiritual and doctrinal resource for practitioners and scholars alike.
