
Tiberius Claudius Nero Caesar (Titus)
Tiberius Claudius Nero Caesar (Titus), born in AD 39, was the son of Emperor Vespasian and the elder brother of Emperor Domitian. As a Roman general and future emperor, Titus is best known for leading the successful siege of Jerusalem in AD 70, which resulted in the destruction of the Second Temple. He became emperor after his father’s death in AD 79 and ruled until his own death in AD 81. His reign was marked by military achievements, responsible governance, and a relatively peaceful period, leaving a legacy as a capable and popular leader in Roman history.
