Thule Society

The Thule Society was a German occult and nationalist group established in the early 20th century, around 1918. It combined interest in ancient myths, Aryan racial ideas, and German nationalism. The society believed in racial purity and promoted ideas that influenced later extremist movements, including the Nazi Party. Although it started as a secret club for esoteric and political discussions, its members were involved in early paramilitary activities and politics. The Thule Society's influence helped shape some of the ideological groundwork for Nazi ideologies, but it dissolved by the mid-1920s.
