
Thubten Yeshe
Thubten Yeshe (1935-1984) was a prominent Tibetan Buddhist lama and teacher known for his efforts to spread Tibetan Buddhism in the West. He founded the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT), which supports Buddhist education and practices globally. Yeshe emphasized the integration of traditional teachings with modern life, making spiritual concepts accessible to diverse audiences. His teachings often focused on compassion, mindfulness, and the nature of reality.
