Thrombelastography (TEG) is a diagnostic test that assesses how well blood clots and dissolves over time. It measures the strength and stability of a clot as it forms, providing real-time information about clotting ability, speed, and breakdown. This helps doctors understand bleeding risks or clotting disorders, guide blood transfusions, and manage coagulation therapy.
