Three Kingdoms of Korea
The Three Kingdoms of Korea—Goguryeo, Baekje, and Silla—were three powerful states that existed from around 57 BCE to 668 CE. They competed for dominance on the Korean Peninsula, each with unique cultures, political systems, and military strengths. Goguryeo was known for its strong army and northern territory, Baekje for its maritime skills and cultural influence, and Silla for unifying much of Korea with help from Chinese allies. The rivalry and alliances among them shaped early Korean history, laying foundations for future unified Korean states.
