Three Kingdoms of China

The Three Kingdoms of China (220–280 AD) was a period marked by division after the fall of the Han Dynasty, featuring three rival states: Wei, Shu, and Wu. These kingdoms vied for control of China, each led by prominent warlords and strategists, notably Cao Cao, Liu Bei, and Sun Quan. The era is famous for its complex political intrigue, epic battles, and legendary figures like Zhuge Liang. Despite ongoing conflicts, some alliances formed. Ultimately, Wei unified China, ending the period and leading to the Jin Dynasty. The period is celebrated in Chinese literature and historical texts, especially the novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms."
