Thomas Morus

Thomas Morus, also known as Thomas More, was a 16th-century English statesman, philosopher, and humanist. He is best known for his book *Utopia*, which describes an ideal society with fair laws, shared wealth, and harmony. More was a trusted advisor to King Henry VIII but refused to support the king’s separation from the Catholic Church, leading to his execution. He is admired for his integrity, moral conviction, and commitment to social justice. Canonized as a saint by the Catholic Church, Thomas More symbolizes principled resistance to unjust authority and the pursuit of ethical truth.
