Thomas Münzer
Thomas Münzer was a 16th-century German preacher and revolutionary during the Protestant Reformation. He advocated for social and religious reform, emphasizing that true faith obliges believers to challenge injustice and inequality. Münzer believed in the direct authority of the Bible and inspired many peasants and workers to seek social change. His ideas contributed to the Peasants' War (1524-1525), a revolt against oppressive landowners. Ultimately, Münzer was captured and executed for his role in the uprising. His legacy is that of a radical preacher who combined spiritual reform with social activism.
