Thomas Jackson

Thomas Jackson, often referred to as "Stonewall Jackson," was a Confederate general during the American Civil War. Born in 1824, he earned fame for his skilled leadership in battles, particularly his role in the First Battle of Bull Run, where he earned his nickname for standing firm like a stone wall. Jackson was known for his bold tactics and rapid maneuvers, contributing significantly to the Southern war effort. Unfortunately, he was wounded by friendly fire in 1863 and died shortly after, but his military strategies and legacy continue to be studied in military history.
