Thistlegorm (shipwreck)
The Thistlegorm is a World War II British cargo ship, sunk in 1941 in the Red Sea by German bomber attacks. Today, it is a well-known underwater archaeological site and popular diving destination. The wreck lies upright at a depth of about 30 meters (100 feet) and is remarkably well-preserved, with its cargo of weapons, vehicles, and supplies still visible. Its remains provide insight into wartime maritime history and serve as a fascinating underwater museum for explorers and historians alike.
