Thin Film Transistors (TFT)
A Thin Film Transistor (TFT) is a type of electronic switch made with very thin layers of materials, typically used in displays like TVs and monitors. It controls the flow of electrical current to individual pixels, allowing the screen to produce images. The TFT acts like a tiny on/off switch for each pixel, enabling precise control of brightness and color. Its structure includes a semiconductor layer, usually made of silicon, sandwiched between insulating layers and conductive electrodes. This design provides fast response times and high image quality, making TFTs essential for modern high-resolution displays.
