Theories of Multiple Intelligences
Theories of Multiple Intelligences, proposed by psychologist Howard Gardner, suggest that intelligence isn't just one ability like math or language. Instead, people have different kinds of intelligences, such as linguistic (word skills), logical-mathematical, musical, bodily-kinesthetic (movement), spatial (visualize), interpersonal (social skills), intrapersonal (self-awareness), and naturalist (nature). This idea encourages recognizing and nurturing diverse strengths in individuals, showing that everyone has unique capacities and ways of understanding the world. It broadens traditional views of intelligence, emphasizing that success and talents can appear in many different forms.
