Theological noncognitivism

Theological noncognitivism is a philosophical view that argues religious claims about God's existence lack meaningful or clear cognitive content. In other words, statements like "God exists" or "God is loving" are considered not to be statements that can be true or false because they are not properly formed as meaningful assertions. Noncognitivists believe such religious language expresses feelings, attitudes, or commitments rather than factual claims, making them non-verifiable and outside the realm of genuine knowledge. This perspective challenges the idea that religious statements can be meaningfully discussed in terms of truth or falsehood.
