Theodosius
Theodosius I was a Roman emperor who ruled from 379 to 395 AD, known for making Christianity the official religion of the Roman Empire. He worked to unify the empire’s diverse peoples by promoting Christianity and suppressing pagan practices. His reign helped shape the religious landscape of Europe, leading to Christianity's dominance. Theodosius also strengthened imperial authority and dealt with internal conflicts, but his policies deepened religious divisions. After his death, the empire was permanently divided into Eastern and Western halves. Overall, he played a crucial role in transitioning Rome toward a Christian empire.
