Thelema and Buddhism
Thelema is a spiritual philosophy founded by Aleister Crowley, emphasizing individual will and personal sovereignty, summarized by the phrase "Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law." It encourages seekers to discover and follow their true purpose. Buddhism, rooted in the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, aims to end suffering through understanding the nature of existence, practicing mindfulness, moral conduct, and meditation. While Thelema promotes personal spiritual discovery, Buddhism emphasizes liberation through wisdom and compassion, both viewing spiritual growth as a central goal but approaching it through different paths.
