Theistic Voluntarism

Theistic Voluntarism is the belief that God's moral commands are based on His will alone, rather than on some independent standard of goodness. In this view, what is right or wrong depends entirely on God's decisions—He could, in theory, command anything, even if it seems morally wrong to us. Morality is thus rooted in God's authority and is not independent of Him. This perspective emphasizes God's sovereignty, suggesting that moral values are ultimately determined by His voluntary decrees, rather than by any external moral standard or reason.
