The World Islamic Front for Jihad Against Jews and Crusaders

The World Islamic Front for Jihad Against Jews and Crusaders is a militant organization formed in 1998 by Osama bin Laden and others. It aimed to rally Muslim groups to oppose what they saw as threats from Western countries, especially the United States and Israel, which they labeled as enemies controlling Jerusalem and the Muslim world. The group promoted violent jihad (holy struggle) as a means to defend Islam and establish Islamic governance, and it was responsible for planning and encouraging terrorist attacks, most notably the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States.
