The Work

In physics, "work" refers to the transfer of energy that occurs when a force is applied to an object, causing it to move in the direction of the force. It is calculated as the product of the force applied and the distance the object moves, only when the force and motion are in the same direction. For example, pushing a box across the floor involves doing work because you're applying a force over a certain distance. Work is measured in units called joules; one joule is the work done when a force of one newton moves an object one meter.
