The Whistler

The Whistler is a natural or artificial sound that occurs when sound waves reflect between steep or smooth surfaces, creating a high-pitched, piercing noise similar to a bird’s call or a siren. This phenomenon can happen in narrow spaces like mountains or canyons, or within certain mechanical or electronic systems. The sound results from vibrations and echoes, often reinforced by specific shapes or materials. While sometimes caused by environmental factors, it can also be deliberately produced in musical instruments or technology for desired auditory effects.
