The Western Roman Empire

The Western Roman Empire was the western part of the ancient Roman Empire, which existed from the 3rd century AD until its fall in 476 AD. It was a powerful civilization known for its law, architecture, and military. Over time, internal struggles, economic troubles, and invasions by barbarian tribes weakened it. Eventually, these pressures caused the Western Empire to collapse, marking the end of ancient Rome’s dominance in the West. Its fall led to the beginning of the medieval period in Europe, while the eastern part, called the Byzantine Empire, continued for nearly a thousand more years.
