The Weak Force

The weak force is one of the four fundamental forces in nature, responsible for processes like radioactive decay and nuclear fusion in stars. It operates at a very small scale, influencing how subatomic particles interact. Specifically, it enables particles like neutrons to change into protons, emitting particles called neutrinos in the process. Although it’s weak compared to gravity and electromagnetism, it is essential for the universe's stability and element formation. The weak force is mediated by carriers called W and Z bosons, which allow particles to exchange energy and change identity during interactions.
