The War of the Last Alliance

The War of the Last Alliance was a major conflict in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-earth, taking place between the Free Peoples of Middle-earth and the Dark Lord Sauron. It happened after Sauron regained strength and sought to dominate all of Middle-earth using his powerful magic, including the One Ring. An alliance of Elves and Men united to oppose him. The war culminated in a decisive battle at Mount Doom, where the alliance defeated Sauron by destroying the One Ring, which was his source of power. This victory temporarily ended Sauron's threat, but set the stage for future conflicts.
