The Voyager Missions

The Voyager Missions consist of two spacecraft, Voyager 1 and Voyager 2, launched in 1977 to explore the outer planets and their moons. They provided detailed images and data about Jupiter, Saturn, and their systems, significantly expanding our understanding of the solar system. After completing their primary missions, they continued traveling outward into interstellar space, transmitting valuable information about this unseen environment. Voyager 1 is now the most distant human-made object, crossing into interstellar space in 2012, while Voyager 2 followed in 2018. Both continue to send data, offering unique insights into the beyond-solar-system environment.
