The USS Arizona

The USS Arizona was a battleship of the United States Navy, commissioned in 1916. It is best known for its destruction during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, which marked a pivotal moment in World War II. The ship sank, taking 1,177 crew members with it, making it one of the greatest losses in American naval history. Today, the remains of the USS Arizona are preserved as a memorial at Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, honoring those who lost their lives and serving as a reminder of the sacrifices made during the war.
