The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation
The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation (TRF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to rehoming and caring for retired racehorses. Once these horses finish their racing careers, the TRF provides them with second careers through adoption, retraining, and rehabilitation. Their goal is to ensure the horses have a safe, healthy life after racing, whether as riding horses, companions, or in other equine roles. The foundation also works to educate the public about horse welfare and responsible rehoming, helping to promote the well-being of thoroughbreds beyond the racetrack.
