The Theory of Relativity (Albert Einstein contribution)
Albert Einstein’s Theory of Relativity fundamentally changed our understanding of space and time. It states that the laws of physics are the same for all observers, regardless of their motion. Special Relativity, introduced in 1905, shows that as objects move faster near the speed of light, time slows down for them, and their lengths contract. General Relativity, published in 1915, describes gravity not as a force but as the warping of spacetime caused by mass and energy. This means massive objects like stars curve spacetime, influencing the motion of planets and light, revealing a universe interconnected by geometry.
