The Texas Giant
The Texas Giant was a wooden roller coaster located at Six Flags Over Texas, renowned for its thrilling design. Originally built in 1990, it featured a classic wooden coaster experience with a steep drop and sharp turns. In 2011, it underwent a significant transformation, being rebuilt as a hybrid coaster with steel supports and a wooden track, called New Texas Giant. This upgrade enhanced safety, durability, and allowed for more complex maneuvers, increasing the ride's thrill factor. Today, it remains a popular attraction, blending traditional wooden coaster elements with modern engineering for an exhilarating experience.
