The Society of Mind (theory)

The Society of Mind theory, proposed by Marvin Minsky, suggests that the human mind is composed of many small, specialized units called "agents." These agents work together, much like members of a society, to produce intelligent behavior and mental processes. Instead of a single, central "mind," intelligence emerges from the interactions and cooperation of these diverse agents. This framework helps explain complex thinking, problem-solving, and learning as products of collaborative activity among many simple components working in concert.
