The Social Capital Project
The Social Capital Project examines how relationships, trust, and networks within communities contribute to economic and civic well-being. It shows that strong social ties—like trust among neighbors, participation in clubs, or collaboration at work—help communities thrive by fostering cooperation, supporting economic stability, and encouraging civic engagement. Conversely, declining social capital can lead to less trust, reduced cooperation, and negative social outcomes. The project aims to highlight the importance of social bonds for overall societal health and to inform policies that strengthen these connections for a more resilient and connected society.
