The Sin Bin

The Sin Bin is a designated area on a sports field, like in hockey or rugby, where players are temporarily sent when they commit fouls or infractions. When a player is "sent to the Sin Bin," they must sit out of the game for a fixed period, usually resulting in their team being temporarily reduced in players. This penalty encourages fair play and disciplinary action, and the team must adapt their strategy during the player's absence. Once the penalty time expires, the player is allowed to rejoin the game.
